My thoughts:
What is it with me an ideal wedding gone TERRIBLY and HORRIBLY wrong?! Call it the petty, vindictive and sadistic side to me (it’s more prevalent than you think) but that juxtaposition is my kind of read.
That’s why HER DARK LIES by J.T. Ellison is my ideal read. Everyone is hiding something, everyone is too good to be true, you just KNOW that those picturesque settings are concealing something sinister. I👏🏻AM👏🏻HERE👏🏻FOR👏🏻IT.
Speaking of settings, this one drew me in immediately. My absolute favorite vacation spot was Lago Maggiore and my dream wedding would be on Isola Bella so I immediately got excited when I read that/pictured that island when reading this book.
As for the characters, every single one is probably shady. I found this one to be a little heavy on the character side-there were a lot. Also SHOUT OUT TO @JUSTONEMOREPAGE_ FOR HAVING A CHARACTER NAMED AFTER HER! How did I miss that news?! Seriously so cool! Also, check out this post by @gareindeedreads– his casting is always spot on.
I mentioned before an ideal wedding gone horribly wrong is MY JAM (other similar plot lines THE GUEST LIST, EVERY VOW YOU BREAK, DIAL A FOR AUNTIES, WHAT LIES IN PARADISE)? This one is a little on the longer side, but like her previous work, GOOD GIRLS LIE, once you get into it the story ZOOMS by.
The conclusion didn’t shock me (don’t be deterred by that… I read A LOT of thrillers so a shocking conclusion is tricky to come by). The resolution left me satisfied, I do like things tied up in a nice bow.

While thrillers aren’t usually my cup of tea, this one sounds really intriguing!! I’m also totally in awe of the fact that someone on booksta got a character named after them. Like – that’s REALLY cool!
